How do you set up a Form It decor?
We're delighted to introduce you to Form It, an innovative textile material that redefines the possibilities of decoration. Thanks to its unique characteristics, Form It allows you to create incredible decors with ease.
Very simple to install.
What's special about Form It is that it can be shaped and deformed without elasticity, allowing users to create the shapes and reliefs they need to create their own designs. As well as being an excellent alternative to polystyrene, this material is recyclable and has no environmental impact. Whether you want elegant curves or bold relief, Form It adapts to your needs and offers unprecedented flexibility.
A self-supporting material
Form It is self-supporting up to a certain height, which makes installation much simpler. It stands without additional support and supports its own weight. Above a certain height (around 1m), the stability of Form It will depend on the spatial configuration and additional supports may be required (wooden structures, aluminium structures, etc.).
Setting up Form It is simple and accessible to everyone. Here are a few steps to get you started:
- Preparing the structure: Depending on the desired design, make sure the surface where the Form It will be applied is clean and smooth.
- Shaping: Shape the Form It into the desired forms and reliefs. The Form It can be handled with ease to obtain precise results.
- Installation: Place the Form It on the structure and secure it with Velcro, glue or staples*.
- Finishing: Adjust details, shapes and relief to achieve a perfect, realistic look.

Creating XXL decors.
It is entirely possible to create larger-scale decorations. Use a strong glue to join the two strips of material together.
As far as adhesives are concerned, gel or liquid neoprene are easy to apply, but you need to take a few precautions when laying to avoid soiling the material beyond the recommended 10cm overlap. Use a roller for better application of the glue to the areas to be joined. Wait for the adhesive to dry before installing.
An environmentally-friendly alternative to polystyrene
As well as being an excellent alternative to polystyrene, this material is reusable and has no ecological impact. Unlike polystyrene, which can be difficult to recycle and harmful to the environment, Form It is designed to be reused again and again, reducing waste and helping to protect our planet.
